let’s be honest, most people seem to be pretty shit at being good friends

unless I repel them all, in which case, carry on

I mean, there’s only so many times I can call/txt to catch-up and be rejected, but if you really can’t be bothered extending me the same courtesy then I’ll try not to give a fuck about you either

"Marry your best friend. I do not say that lightly. Really, truly find the strongest, happiest friendship in the person you fall in love with. Someone who speaks highly of you. Someone you can laugh with. The kind of laughs that make your belly ache, and your nose snort. The embarrassing, earnest, healing kind of laughs. Wit is important. Life is too short not to love someone who lets you be a fool with them. Make sure they are somebody who lets you cry, too. Despair will come. Find someone that you want to be there with you through those times. Most importantly, marry the one that makes passion, love, and madness combine and course through you. A love that will never dilute - even when the waters get deep, and dark."

I cannot stress this enough. I have seen many of my own friends talk about how their ~future husband~ has to be this or that physically, or have a certain kind of job, or be interested in this, etc. etc. and I’m just like…that’s all bullshit. find someone to be your best friend, who treats you as an equal and whom you can share everything with. and the love will follow.

cromulant asked: guuuurl you should tag any gorey photos you reblog with "gore" :/ I don't mind seeing that stuff that much, but I know that it can upset a lot of other people :(

haha, thanks. I contemplated it, but was lazy and chose to alt+reblog instead. apologies, although given I’m a medstudent- somewhat expected…
